STAR WARS FACT FILE BLOWOUT
|
|
Enough data to fill the Jedi Library. Yes, the Star Wars Fact Files as distributed by Bissett Magazines, has well and
truly exceeded its initial forecast of "only 75 issues". And does not look likely to stop any time too soon. When contacted, Bissett informed us that the
magazine had been extend to issue #120, but that it may be extended for additional issues beyond that at a later date. Seeing as how the Star Trek Fact file is at #304 it very well may continue towards the 200 mark.

|
Members
of the Official Star Wars Fan Club can order Hasbro’s
silver-painted Boba Fett action figure from the Fan Club website, Paizo
Publishing,
starting Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time.
"Members who are concerned that there are not enough Boba Fetts to go
around should rest easy,” said Lisa Stevens, President of the Official Star
Wars Fan Club. “We have a good number of the action figures, and we should
be able to make most everyone happy.” The figures will cost US$10.00 each plus shipping, and will be sold to all
members of the Official Star Wars Fan Club, including Canadian and
International members. Each member will be able to purchase up to two figures
each. The figures will be sold while supplies last.

(NOTE: Hasbro Australia comment is they can not confirm nor deny if they
are receiving the Silver Fett 'at this stage'. So, if your budget can stretch to
AU$16 plus postage then get one or two figures from the fan club, or hold out
and see if they do arrive here via another "exclusive" promotion. )

A DIRTY DOZEN FOR COLLECTION 2
|
|
It's time to break open that piggy bank because this week sees the release on not 6, not 8, but 12 NEW Collection 2 Figure packs to the Saga line from Hasbro. And when you count the double figure cards that equates to 15 new figures just crying to be released from their carded prisons. From Episode 2 we have; Coleman Trebor, Aalya Securea, Barris Ofee, Yoda & Chiam, Ashla & Jempa, Lama Su & Clone boy, Wat Tambor, Padme Amidala, and Red Battle Droid. Then from EPI we have a reissued Darth Maul, plus from EPIV the reissues are Leia-Captive and Han Solo,
oh...but the cards are a lot nicer and they have stands. It may be some time off before you see these in the stores (not to mention the leg work required) so click your mouse to shop at selected online stores in our ONLINE RETAILER section. (UPDATE:
13/08/03)
Sithlord sends in a report of card errors on two of the new figures. The Han
Solo shows number #25 on the front of the card but '03#27 on the back, and
similarly the Darth Maul is #23 on the front but '03#25 on the back. A
final note, the Maul is a reissue of a figure from the Masters of the Darkside
2-pack which was not release here in Australia, so it is well worth picking up.
Thanks to xXx for that information.
