INFINITIES CYCLE COMPLETE??? |
|
In
the topsy-turvy Infinities universe, a single, seemingly insignificant event can
alter the fate of the galaxy. When the plan to rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt falls
apart, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, and Chewbacca embark on another rescue
mission that puts them into direct conflict with Boba Fett.
Meanwhile, Luke’s
late arrival on Dagobah ends with him being captured by Darth Vader and the
Emperor, just as the second Death Star is about to go on-line! Will the return
of the Jedi become the end of the Jedi? The surprising climax is as
exciting as that of the film on which it is based, but different from anything Star
Wars fans have seen before!
Star Wars: Infinities Return of the Jedi TPB is now available to buy at
your local comic shop. Check out a four page <preview>

LUCASARTS GETS INTO EPISODE 3 |
|
NEWS
FLASH FROM EA GAMES: Following the recent Lucasfilm Ltd. title announcement of the
Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith motion picture, LucasArts revealed today that it will release the
Star Wars: Episode III video game on May 5, 2005, two weeks before the opening of the film.
Currently under development, the third-person action/adventure game will deliver the ultimate Jedi action experience as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi join forces in fierce battles and heroic lightsaber duels until one’s lust for power and the other’s devotion to duty leads to a final confrontation between good and evil. In the Star Wars: Episode III video game, players will control all the Jedi abilities of both Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, including devastating Force powers and advanced lightsaber techniques involving robust combo attacks and defensive maneuvers. As Anakin, players will unleash the power of the dark side in ruthless lightsaber and Force attacks. As Obi-Wan, players will struggle to save the galaxy from darkness by focusing the power of the light side into swift and precise lightsaber attacks and using the Force to control enemy actions. Working closely with famed Star Wars stunt coordinator Nick Gillard, the development team is creating the most authentic lightsaber combat ever with choreography taken directly from the films as well as many new stunts created exclusively for the game under the auspices of Gillard. Expanding on the upcoming movie, the game will take place in never-before-seen locations that will give fans a sneak peek into the highly anticipated Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith film, releasing worldwide on May 19, 2005.

CAUTION: TWINS INSIDE |
|
We finally received our
Star Wars Insider Issue #76, and it only took 9 weeks to get to us. Since the handover from Paizo, Lucas Online has returned to posting
via SURFACE-mail. I had to cry at the terrible condition of the magazine after being submitted to weeks of torture at the hands of postal services either side of the Pacific.
So, what was inside? Well as our friends at
SWNZ reported on Monday, their is an article on NZ actress Keisha Castle-Huhes, heaps of EPIII artwork, some neat Star Wars Origami, a new short story, onset screen shots
plus heaps more. Now if only we could get an International Subscription with Airmail
Postage....but we will have to keep dreaming.

NEW CARD STYLE EPISODE 3
|
|
New movie title, new images of preview figures and now a
NEW Style Card for all Episode III characters. What has been called the first dramatic change to card
design since 1977, seems to have split the collector community. The new card
shape and bubble style is a radical departure from any card design to date.
So how do you fell about the new card? Let us know, and compare some images, in our
New Image Section of the Mousedroid Forum. Voice your opinion and let Hasbro know what the Australian Collector thinks.

Clone Wars spreads across the galaxy, Yoda is called upon to lead a clone army

INSIDER FOR THE INSIDER |
|
In what could be a herald of the direction Lucas Online will look at products post EPIII, today a new section was opened on the Official Star Wars Fan Club exclusive web site,
Hyperspace.com. This new section is called Star Wars "Insider Online Supplement"
and is available only to Fan Club / Hyperspace members (USA and International).
With
the restriction to the publication of the SW Insider magazine for North America
only and now the 'addition' of the Online Supplement it maybe only a matter of
time for this long running magazine to be transformed into a E-mag only
publication.

NEW SET AVAILABLE? |
|
Several
readers have asked for clarification on two news reports posted on fellow
Australian toy site OzFigures.com. The Kmart stores 1xSaber/2xDeluxe
Figure Set, whilst a new package is comprised of clearance items from 2003
available out of the Hasbro Australia Warehouse.
These
items are not new, with all the deluxe sets being readily available at independent
retailers since October 2003. Similarly the latest Carkoon pack has also been
available locally since April 2004. Hope that clears it up. Seem
some people are looking at the Jedi 3 pack image above, and mistakenly think
that this is not available as part of the Kmart Saber packs. This is not the
case, all deluxe clone pack were packaged with the sabers. Our point being that
ALL items that comprise the packs were NOT new but previously (i.e. 2003)
released Hasbro Australia stock.

ceaseless combat waged on the jungle world for control of a priceless native
plant. In the pages of the latest Clone Wars novel, Medstar 1:
Battle Surgeons, readers will meet a
surgeon that cloaks his despair with sardonic wit; another who weathers the
death and misery of Drongar by making beautiful music; a compassionate nurse
with her heart in her work and her eye on a doctor; and a Jedi Padawan on a
healing mission without her Master.
So head to
your local bookshop (Dymocks-Hurstville being our preferred retailer) and pick
up your copy today. Just look for Nalini Krishan (aka Barriss Offee) doing some
delicate surgery on a Super Battle Droid on the cover.
