DIS-INFORMATION or DAT-INFORMATION |
|
If
what UK newspapers are publishing can "ever" be believed, then Star Was is now
set to be a 'British TV Series'. The UK Mirror has reported that "The
series is expected to spark a big-money bidding war between the BBC and ITV.
Quote "Original C3P0 portrayer Anthony Davis is the only film star signed for
the TV series"
No, that is not a typing error and we all thought C-3P0 was played by Anthony
Daniels. Or maybe this is the love child of Wicket (Warrick Davis) and Daniels?
Head to our
Forums and Discuss the how you would like to see Star Wars be turned into a
TV series.....oh, please don't make it a "Carry on..." series. |

EMPIRE FILM AWARDS 20006 |
|
The
EMPIRE Magazine (UK) Film Awards 2006 were held this week. Some of the more
interesting comments "For a robot he went on a bit." -Bill Bailey on
Anthony Daniels. "This is only the second award we’ve ever won so thank you
very much!" -Rick McCallum states a true but almost unbelievable fact about
Episode III, which won two awards on the night.
Episode III won the Sony Ericsson Scene Of The Year ('The Birth Of
Vader') and Best Sci-FI/Fantasy Film knocking out other big hits
like The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Harry
Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, King Kong and Serenity . There is also some
talk about the progress on Star War TV plus Indiana Jones IV.

REPUBLIC COMMANDO 2- TRIPLE ZERO |
|
For Omega Squad, deployed deep behind enemy lines, it’s the same old special ops
grind: sabotage, espionage, ambush, and assassination. But when Omega Squad is
rushed to Coruscant, the war’s most dangerous hotspot, the commandos
discover they’re not the only ones penetrating the heart of the enemy...Sep
Terrorists are there too.
Author Karen Traviss, says "Republic Commando: Triple Zero is designed to be a "good read",
something that would be called a military techno-thriller outside of SF: this is
essentially the SAS operating in the Galaxy Far Far Away." Order your
copy from

SCIENCE MEETS IMAGINATION |
|

When will we all have our own R2 units to save us from sticky situations? Is
there a practical use for a droid who knows etiquette? Will we soon be commuting
in our own speeders? Is hyperspace even possible? Find out in
Star War Where Science Meets Imagination, the companion book to
the Boston Museum of Science exhibition.
The book assembles a team of some of
the world's most creative scientists and engineers to consider how the culture
of Star Wars has inspired cutting-edge science, and what the limits are of
tomorrow's technology. Scientists, robotics specialists, and key members of
Industrial Light & Magic write about the technology and inspiration behind
