An interesting article was sent to us over the past week, but with all the CIV coverage it got lost in the emails...until now. Wired.com has an article called "Anakin Skywalker: Borderline Personality, Bipolar or Narcissist?" in which Dr. Eric Bui, a psychiatrist in Toulouse, France, co-wrote a study that diagnosed Anakin/Vader as having borderline personality disorder?!?!?!

More new in form our techno-friends over at FirstStrikeMod.com, the creators of the excellent Battlefield 2142 conversion to the Star Wars universe. The mod pack is coming along very nicely, and several new wallpapers and videos can be found on their site, including a short teaser trailer called Escape from Hoth. One of the hallmarks of the new site is a feature that invites fans to remix video and music clips from all six Star Wars movies, as well as add in their own homemade videos.

Seems someone at Shop@Lego jumped the gun with the MTT play set story. The MTT has now been removed from logo now showing against the Battle Droid Pack. As reported in our Toy Fair Day 3 coverage the Lego Star Wars Trade Federation MTT (Best Boys Licensed Product & LICENSED PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2007) will be a local retailer release in August 2007.

Well known Star Wars fan and one of the Moderators at Rebelscum, GNT, reports of seeing the new TAC Carded figures being De-Coined on the pegs. It seems several low life collectors are cutting open the packaging and  'Stealing' the coins off the pegs. Activation Australia announces a new game from Lucasarts Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron for the PSP system.  Renegade Squadron  is the story of a ragtag ensemble of battle-hardened rogues and scoundrels assembled by Han Solo. Gathered to execute some of the most secretive operations in the Rebel Alliance’s war against the Galactic Empire.

From the Valley of the Sith on Korriban to a dogfight in space through the remains of Alderaan, Solo directs the team on missions of sabotage, rescue and retrieval. The game featuresn ew maps including Ord Mantell, Boz Pity, Korriban, Sullust and Saleucami, plus new space battles at Kessel, Hoth, Bespin, the remnants of Alderaan,  second Hoth map, plus a new interpretation of Endor.

For the first time in Battlefront, fly the Millennium Falcon, Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced, Jango and Boba Fett’s Slave I, and Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi starfighter; New land-based heroes include Admiral Ackbar, Ben Kenobi (Episode IV), IG-88, Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto. In case you had not heard, George Lucas seems to be spitting sour grapes about the latest web spinner movie. Something along the lines of  Spider man 3 being "a Silly movie" and having "not much story"? have a read of the report out of L.A. over at News.com.au. Sure Star Wars is great and we can't wait for the new Clone Wars CGI Animated series but taking shots at other franchise?

The new 30th Anniversary Collectors (TAC) has proven to be a big hit with Australian collectors finding the McQuarrie Signature Series is starting to becomes difficult. Why? Well, we have been informed that whilst the McFigures shown as a numbered as part of the normal assortment they are classed as a Chase-Set of the TAC line, and hence the different colored card plus are short packed.

What does that mean?? Higher prices, Set-only purchases and a very high potential scalper target item for any that do make it to retailer shelves across the country.

Several new images to hit the net recently include some revamped Jedi vs Sith Battle Packs, featuring the Clone Wars with Armored Kenobi and the Darth Sidious Showdown, this time with the 30th Anniversary style cases. Also found were images of a new version of Star Wars Risk- Original Trilogy Edition from Parker Brothers. No word on a local release date but stay tuned.
