The Terror Australis Garrison started life as part of the Australia /New Zealand Outpost. With only 2 members one in Australia and one in New Zealand, when I joined the club in 2002 there was 8 members. After Episode 2 our numbers started to swell and by 2003 our ranks had swollen to over 25 which then made us qualify for Garrison status.

The numbers continued to grow and soon the Australian side of the Garrison started to out number the kiwi’s. Towards the last part of 2003 the Garrison was divided into 2 squads collectively operating under the ANZ Garrison banner thus the Terror Australis Squad was born  By the beginning of 2004 our numbers in Australia were still growing and soon we had enough to form our own Garrison.

In April 2004 ANZ garrison was disbanded to form Outpost 42 (New Zealand) and the Terror Australis Garrison. When we became a Squad we had to come up with a name. We came up with a few different names to choose from but the stand out was Terror Australis which is basically a play on words of the old latin term for Australia “Terra Australis” which means great southern land. We though the name perfectly fit the 2 requirements we had for our Squad name. Which were it had to let people know instantly where we were from, and be menacing enough had to be befit of a Squad in the Imperial Armed Forces.

The TAG has been fortunate to have participated in quite a few events including EA Imagine, Supanova, plus various events for Fox Studios and LFL in the past 12 months. We are actively involved in charity work and have made appearances for the following charities Ronald McDonald House, Westmead Children's Hospital, Make A Wish Foundation, Star Light Foundation.

2005 marks a very special event for our Garrison as we are holding our first ever garrison reunion in Sydney during the week of the release of Episode 3 a full list of all our planned events for the reunion can be found at our TAG Forum.
