HEMBLE's FIGURE WORKSHOP #7

Hi All,

Here is my step by step of (LOOK SIR DROIDS) Diorama, as always I'll show how to sculpt if any, paint and weather the figures and vehicles and also a step by step on how to do the diorama base.

If any questions regarding this diorama or if you have questions that don't relate to this please feel free to contact me at rhemble@bigpond.com and as always I'll be more then happy to help out.

THE ESCAPE POD

PIC - 1 The escape pod is from Hasbro and is the Tatooine Escape deluxe set, To get the hatch cover off I used a fine modelers saw and slightly went around the edge to mark it out. Once the marking was done I used the saw and lightly started to saw thru the plastic, Be careful as you are sawing the saw will heat up due to friction and start to melt the plastic this will make it harder to saw thru it and the blade could snap.

PIC - 2 The pod was then pulled apart and was given 3 coats of Tamiya's AS-7 Neutral Gray (USAAF), This was left to dry for about 30 minutes.

PIC - 3 Once dry the pod was given a wash of Games Workshop's Chaos Black and any excess paint was wiped away.

PIC - 4 The interior of the pod was given a light drybrush of Vallejo's Pure White and then the padding was painted using Vallejo's Saddle Brown. The exterior was given a light drybrush of Vallejo's Pure White as well and the inside of the thrusters were painted GW's Chaos Black, Then the exterior was then drybrushed various colours of Matt Black and Matt Brown to simulate atmosphere re-entry.

PIC - 5 The pod is now 90% complete it will be given extra weathering and details once it's on the base.
