Well Lucasarts and Bioware officially announce the next KOTR game as an MMO today and only available on PC (fingers crossed we see PS3 and X360 get it). Little disappointed in them not doing a single player campaign style game and Lucasarts other MMO, Galaxies was such a disaster I thought they may have learnt their lesson. Fingers crossed Bioware can do it justice and hopefully they next gen consoles get their own versions.

The KOTOR timeline is the perfect place for an MMO. It's undeniably Star Wars, with a strong fanbase and it's free of pretty much any Canon issues in relation to the films.

I think the game won't be out for at least another year or 2. It'll give me a chance to save up for a better computer. As with regards to cost????? I'm not sure how much WoW is but I'd guess probably the same amount a month as WoW.

2 years!!!  What is Lucas Arts doing!! And the same price as WoW, you would think Lucas Arts learned their leason with galaxys. Does that mean their will be free servers to! Their better be. I used to play WoW with my friend, after 6 months we ran out of cash!  |

Gosh I'm...overwhelmed... 
In all seriousness I think this is going to go down very poorly with the KotOR fan base, especially considering LA has essentially said 'we know you all wanted a single-player game, so we ignored you and went this way anyway'.

Well okay, I do tend to be rather vocal...but still I'd much prefer a PC version of TFU over this rubbish any day. Mind you I don't have anything in particular against the game - at least there's 1 300 year gap, leaving the door open for a KotOR2 sequel - I just find it morally reprehensible for companies to continue to charge for a product I've already purchased.

Oh yes, forgot to mention how I find it...amusing...that LA and Bioware built this announcement up into epic proportions regarding something new and innovative...and then give us something that other companies have been doing for a while.
Not a master stroke on LA's behalf methinks.

Its going down bad with KoToR fans, I think thats a understatment. I got both games and I would have prefured to get KoToR 3, but this "KoToR MMORPG wasn't too bad untill I found out I would have to wait 2 years a pay a small fortune for it! If that isn't angry I don't no what is!  |

Yes, because the costs are continuous. No MMO gets to be in the same situation as WOW where it has so many subscribers that a couple of months of subscriptions covers years of cost. |

Ditto. I really wanted a third instalment as a single player. This decision to go MMO is either based on a cash cow maneuver, or they really think it will be a great game. If it does happen to overwhelm all MMOs to date, I might just be inclined to try it out.
