Umm...is anyone going to actually wear any of this stuff?

Just sayin....sporting attire and fanboy are rarely seen in the same room as each other.

Contemporary society, thanks to a lot of help from Hollywood has come to stereotype all sci-fi fans as geeks. Personally I take huge offence to that stereotype. You can still work out, like cars and sport etc and still be a huge fan of something like Star Wars.

With that in mind, and accepting the realities of society, if I was to buy one of these new shoes I would only consider the more discreet shoes, such as those with a rebel or empire symbol which would generally only really be recognised by other fans.

I like the X-Wing & Falcon shoes. Probably subtle enough for work. Wonder what they go for?

Having a look through I like the X-Wing shoes but that's about it.

Remember the Ecko Boba Fett Hoody? I liked that jumper too.

That's sort of my point.

I love the Skywalker shoe. It looks the pick of the bunch to me.
I'll track them down and try them on.
If they look as good on I'll get 'em to wear!

On another note, I wonder if that's the new AT-AT?

What a waste of time. They only had the Stormtrooper, Vader and Superstar shoes. They look pretty bad. Deffinately not good bad.
Acording to the unenthusiastic shop assistant, the good shoes, ie X-Wing, Falcon and Skywalker are coming next month on the 15th.

I missed the 501st as well. I did go to a specialist sneaker shop, who had the Stormtrooper highcuts, I think $250 (though maybe it was $350). But they did have the low cuts that have a print from the movie on them, for $550!!. They said adidas will be releasing them in waves over the next few months.
I did also got to the adidas store, and they don't have any and said they weren't getting them in.

I actually want a pair of the Xwings just to wear, but maybe the pricing and availability will mean I wont be.

*********** ANNOUNCEMENT ************

I was wrong.

I admit it...

My wife just went into Footlocker at Knox and looked at the Stormtrooper runners...the lady said "We have just about sold out of all our Star Ward stuff...it's been nuts".

$140 a pop too.

So there, I'm not afraid to admit I'm wrong....I'm AMAZED, but wrong.
Curse you you trendy bunch of nerds!
