HASBRO Q&A SESSION #10
Question #1
Hasbro,
In last year's comic-pack line you released a pack with Obi-Wan and Alpha inspired by the Dark Horse comic Republic 55. This set also included an alternate head for Obi-Wan, which was of the mask he wears when he was captured by Asajj Ventress in Republic 60. This was a nice little "extra", however I was a little disappointed that the Obi-Wan body deco did not really work with that particular head. Do you have any plans to do turn Republic 60 into a Comic-Pack with a more whether and worn Obi-Wan (without a cloak) that we could put this masked head on (if we choose to)? Perhaps a good partner for Obi-Wan could be an un-armoured Alpha.
thanks

That is an interesting idea. Right now we don't have plans to go back to that story with Obi-Wan and Alpha, but it's an interesting suggestion, especially for the packs we need to do that don't rely heavily on new tooling. We'll take a look at that. Thanks for the suggestion.
Question #2
Dear Hasbro,
Now that the level of sculpt quality and articulation regarding protocol droids is outstandingly evident because of firstly 2007's TAC CZ-4 and 4-LOM, and secondly the upcoming 2008 Droid Factory pieces that were shown at Toy Fare etc. Are we going to eventually get our beloved classic Sandcrawler Droid from ANH appropriately upgraded, with the right dirty silver to slightly goldish paintwash, black eyes, and the super articulation that the Saga Legends re-issue didn't have?? This is one figure that is screaming for a makeover!
Thanks,
VDG.

There will be a new RA-7/Death Star Droid model coming as buildable figures for Waves 3 and 4 (names and complete wave details will be announced at Comic-Con International, but RA-7 won't be among the two we are doing).
The figure will be a big (quality) improvement over the current Saga Legends version and will feature ball and socket waist, swivel elbows and knees. Shoulders will be standard due to the limits of how we can assemble to buildable droids, but we think folks will be very, very pleased. Incidentally, the choice to do a new model of this droid was directly inspired by the fans' choice to re-release RA-7. As we looked at it, and appreciated it's iconic form, but "older" articulation, we decided to put a new one into play as part of the Droid Factory first waves as a thanks to the fans. Stay tuned for more info....
Question #3
Some of my favourite figures are the Holiday Edition packs. I know that they have not been on the cards for the a while but with Clone Wars this year and looking towards Xmas 2008, is Hasbro planning anything special in terms of Festive season items or packs with either a Clone Wars or Original Trilogy focus?

We are not planning anything right now for 3-3/4" figures, but do have some surprises planned for one of our other sublines. Stay tuned for more details at Comic-Con International.
